The Crimson Wave

So It’s Time To Send Some Love To ‘That Time Of T Month’
For When You’ve Got Your Period
When You Get A Visit From Aunt Flo
When You’ve Come On
When You’re Riding The Crimson Wave
When You’re On Your Rag
Got Your Monthly
Taking Care Of Your Wounded Clam
Etc
Etc
Etc

Now I have to admit, I don’t always feel the love when it come to my period…

It’s an on going thing, I’m learning and I feel I’ve come far. There was a long time where I hated it and the inconvenience it was in my life; I referred to it as ‘blow job week’ and hid my bleeding shameful vagina from any touch or discovery. Part of me didn’t want anything else going near, getting in or even thinking about touching my vagina as my early periods were moody but I also never had a lover who wanted to touch, fuck, love me like that.

As I’ve grown older and learned to love and accept myself more, my period came right along with that. I’m still looking for the right Period Lover lover. I have never had sex on my period, not really. I want that now, I want that experience. I want someone to dive in, wholeheartedly and write my name in blood across their heart and trace their name in my tummy with my bloody ink.

Meet Anna Gibson & Johanna Samuelson Of The Seeing Red Project…

Seen here performing at Wotever Sex Anna and Johanna have begun the Seeing Red Project to explore their feelings, conditioning and experiences of having and sharing a period. Most of their exploring is done through photography and as ongoing feature, they invite artists to use their own menstrual blood to create works of art, photography, prose, etc – it must be your own blood in your art ladies!

I love what Anna & Johanna are doing with their art and this project; by bringing streaked sex and a little shock and sharing it with us, they are changing the perception of periods. With real blood and real women we remove ourselves from the bindings of ‘sanitary’ products, blue liquid and white shorts for tennis; we see our period for what it is:

Natural. Beautiful. Sexual.

And something to be shared, celebrated and enjoyed. I love the sharing; it’s sweet, it’s hot, it’s binding

Perhaps I shall make some Seeing Red art of my own…

Some People Think It’s Yummyyy…

One thing I found helped changed my feelings regarding my period was actually experiencing it a bit more intimately by…using the Mooncup! Also known as a Divacup, Keeper, etc. In the beginning it was a bit “Ewww! Oh my goooddd!” a bit cringey, a bit nauseous, this I can admit but now I get excited and I think ‘Yesss! I almost filled the whole thing!’ or ‘Go girl! Look at all that blood you made’ I know it sounds silly but I love seeing all the lovely fluids my body makes and I feel more connected to my womanhood than before. PLUS whenever I walk down isles of wasteful, toxin laden, expensive feminine hygiene products, I feel so happy to be free of that consumer cycle.

Here’s A Lil Mooncup Vid – The only tip I will say with sizing… If you are under 30 but have had experience with large cock, large dildos, fisting or the like, I would recommend getting the next size up. Better safe than sorry ladies!

Sooo In The Meantime…

Love Lust & Light
