And Here We Go!
I was blessed to sit down and have a chat with the incredible sex educator, artist, author, teacher Barbara Carelles. Barbara is the author of: Urban Tantra: Sacred Sex for the Twenty-First Century and Luxurious Loving: Tantric Inspirations for Passion and Pleasure. On this day I was skyping with her about new book, Ecstasy is Necessary: A Practical Guide which will be published by Hay House on 15 March 2012.
Barbara Carellas is the founder of Urban Tantra and works through workshops, lectures and sex/life coaching to enrich sex and spirit.

I founded Urban Tantra® as a way of bringing people together to explore the vast range of sexual, spiritual and emotional possibilities open to all of us. Most of us have been taught to compartmentalize our lives—to keep our work, spiritual and erotic lives as separate as possible—in order to keep the peace and not offend anyone. I advocate exactly the opposite approach. When our erotic energy is aligned with our spiritual purpose, it releases our creativity and manifests in prosperity and happiness in all areas of life, including fulfilling relationships with other people.
I got my paws on a copy of Ecstasy is Necessary: A Practical Guide for the interview and I dived right into it’s beauty. The contents page is enough to make any lovesexual hum: In Search Of Your Authentic Spiritual Self, Good Boundaries Make Good Lovers, The Language Of Ecstasy and so and so forth. Some segments of the book come with exercises to help you pin point your priorities, in different areas of your life and help with how to apply them to your various relationships – I found this, these questions quite helpful and the questions were quite profound in their simplicity, I’m still digesting really. I did chat with Barbara about some of these questions, as well as her focus on boundaries and the self within sex…
